77fb Ways of the Qilin — Following the Mythical Creature's Path to Big Wins
This slot by PG Soft is built around the Qilin, an auspicious creature from ancient Chinese mythology. At 77fb, you can play in both demo and real-money mode.
What Is the Qilin — Theme and Style of This Slot
Ways of the Qilin is a video slot developed by PG Soft. The Qilin is an auspicious creature from ancient Chinese mythology — a blend of dragon and horse — regarded as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity. PG Soft has built the entire animation, colour scheme and music around this concept.
The game's background features pagodas floating in a night sky, golden clouds and glittering stars, creating a festive atmosphere. The symbols include the Qilin, dragon, phoenix, tiger and traditional Chinese coins. While each animation is consistent with PG Soft's broader Fortune series, Ways of the Qilin has its own distinct colour palette and visual style.
The game displays cleanly on both mobile and desktop. It runs smoothly on the 77fb App and touch controls are comfortable to use.
What Happens in a Spin — Reels, Ways and Bonus
6×5 Reel Layout
Ways of the Qilin has 6 reels and 5 rows, giving 3,125 Ways to Win. Instead of fixed paylines, wins are counted when the same symbol lands on adjacent reels.
3,125 WaysBet Selection
Set your bet amount before each spin. There are different bet levels for players with different budgets, from small to large.
Flexible BetFree Spin Bonus
Landing three or more Scatter symbols at once triggers the free spin round. During this round, the multiplier keeps increasing and there is a chance to unlock more free spins.
Scatter TriggerWild and Multiplier
The Wild symbol can substitute for any regular symbol. When a special Multiplier Wild lands during the bonus round, the win for that spin is multiplied several times over.
Multiplier WildIn a Ways-based system, wins are formed when the same symbol lands on consecutive reels from left to right. For example, if one Qilin symbol lands on reel 1, two on reel 2 and three on reel 3, the combination counts as 1×2×3 = 6 Ways, and the payout increases accordingly. This is why the 3,125 Ways figure matters — there are many more chances to win.
What Type of Player Is This Game Suited For
Ways of the Qilin is a medium-to-high volatility slot. Volatility refers to how often and how large a game pays out. In a high-volatility slot, smaller wins come less often, but the size of bigger wins can be much larger.
If you have a larger session budget and are comfortable taking some risk while waiting for a big payout, this game suits you. Players who prefer small, frequent wins each spin and want to stretch their budget over a long session may find a lower-volatility slot more suitable.
For new players: try the game in demo mode at 77fb first. You can understand the mechanics without spending real money. Planning your session length in advance makes for a better experience.
Players who enjoy long sessions, waiting for the bonus round and relying on multipliers for big wins will get the most out of Ways of the Qilin. To explore more PG Soft slots of the same type, visit our Slots page.
Know Before You Play — Budget and Stop Limits
Start with Demo
- Ways of the Qilin is available in demo mode at 77fb. Try the free spin triggers and Wild mechanics yourself before putting in real money.
- Set a fixed budget for each session. For example — if your session budget is ৳500, plan to stop before it runs out.
- Set a stop limit: end the session once you have won or lost a set amount — do not keep going on impulse.
- Set a time limit. In long sessions, focus drops and decision-making suffers.
Bet Management
- Bet 1–3% of your session budget per spin. This makes it easier to keep your balance until a bonus round arrives.
- High volatility means there may be stretches with only small wins or no wins at all. Be patient and do not keep raising your bet.
- Multipliers peak during the bonus round. Rather than placing large bets in the base game, preserve your balance for the bonus round.

Common Slot Myths and the Reality
Many players hold beliefs about slots that are not accurate. Below, the most common misconceptions are addressed.
"If a slot hasn't paid out for a while, it's due to pay — it's 'ready to hit'"
Every spin's outcome is determined by an RNG (Random Number Generator) and is completely independent of previous spins. The game has no memory. After a hundred empty spins, the chance of winning on the next spin is exactly the same — no higher, no lower.
"If you lose, raising your bet will recover the loss"
Chasing losses is the biggest mistake you can make. Placing a larger bet after a big loss is more likely to increase your losses further. Instead, end the session at your planned stop limit.
"Winning in demo mode means winning in real mode is easier"
Demo and real mode use the same RNG, so good results in one do not mean the same will happen in the other. Demo mode is for learning the mechanics, not for predicting wins.
Genuinely large wins are possible in the Ways of the Qilin bonus round
When Multiplier Wilds and multiple Scatters land during the free spin round, the combined win can be far greater than in the base game. This is not a strategy — it is built into the game's design.

Qilin's Maximum Win and Special Symbols
The most valuable symbol in Ways of the Qilin is the Qilin itself. The maximum combination of Qilin symbols across all 6 reels can deliver a notable payout even in the base game.
During the free spin round, special Multiplier Wild symbols land carrying a 2x, 3x or higher multiplier. If multiple Multiplier Wilds land in the same spin, they multiply together — a 2x and a 3x together equals a 6x multiplier. This mechanic is what sets Ways of the Qilin apart from others in its class.
If more Scatters land during the bonus round, additional free spins are added, so a single bonus round can last quite a while. The maximum possible win is many times the total bet — PG Soft has designed the big payout potential in this game specifically around the bonus round.
